Category Header image and title not showing

Hi

On XStore the category header image only shows 50px with no title showing. Is it possible to make this more visible e.g. 550px as there are no options in the theme options? I tried changing it with yellow pencil but it changed this globally so there was a blank block on product pages, shop etc.

Hello, @MrTailor,

You are right, there is no such option to change the height/size of that for a single category only, so you have to try with the Custom CSS code, Please inspect the particular product category page and then copy the product category page unique class number as shown in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/W6k6YX1 after that replace the product category page unique class number in the below-listed code and paste the below-given code to XStore >> Theme Settings >> Theme Custom CSS >> Global CSS, it will apply on that particular product category page only.

Many thanks for the quick response.

I have tried this on a couple of pages however it did not work. I tried it on the round product category which was 126.

Hi Tony

Please see attached for the credentials.
It is the header on all categories from ‘all sunglasses’ to ‘wooden’ etc.

Is the category name supposed to show on this banner also?

We have reviewed the issue and it appears that the custom code you added is causing the problem with the breadcrumbs.

In order to resolve this, we recommend that you delete the custom code and then go to Theme Options > Breadcrumbs to change the Breadcrumbs Style and Breadcrumbs Paddings.

Hi Rose

The only code which was added was the one provided by Tony which did not work so we deleted it.

The other code there was pre-existing in the theme.

What part of it is causing the problem?

Please delete this code – https://prnt.sc/VTJNnCx5K-mf (added via YellowPencil) and then edit Breadcrumbs settings (Breadcrumbs Style and Breadcrumbs Paddings) in the Theme Options. When the code is added settings from Theme Options can’t work correctly.

Thanks for the heads up. I have deleted this code.

The breadcrumb padding didn’t seem to help with the issue of the header images for categories not showing.

Are there any other settings for this?

Thanks for getting back to me.

For some reason, the breadcrumb padding values don’t reflect on the front end when saved. I have cleared the browser cache. I tried out the description on the aviator category but this, again, does not show up on the front end.

It seems to have added the same padding to the ‘about us’ page too.

On mobile, is it possible to centralize the image?

Also, the title shows under the image, is it possible to have this over the image?

Breadcrumbs > Paddings settings from Theme Options work on all pages with breadcrumbs on the site (product category page, about us and so on).
If you would like to apply these settings to product category pages only, custom CSS code can be used. If this is the case, please let us know and we will provide you with the necessary code.

In regards to mobile, in order to provide a specific solution, we would need the URL of the page in question.

Regarding the title, we would like to inform you that there is no mentioned possibility for it. We recommend that you create static blocks with the desired content and show them via the category description area.
