Hi 8Theme Staff,
Does 8Theme have any intention of moving to Visual Composer for design or will it strictly be a WP Bakery developed theme?
I’m currently having performance based issues relating to WP Bakery.
The amount of optimisation I’ve done is quite significant, thus I’m unable to make further changed until I move the code base.
Hello,
All the Legenda demo content based on the WPBakery page builder and plugin developers did not make migration tool from WPBakery to Visual Composer https://visualcomposer.com/help/faq/how-to-migrate-from-the-page-builder-to-visual-composer-website-builder/ That’s why if we change page builder all our clients will lose their content. We don’t want to risk clients’ sites.

Hi Olga,
I understand, this for me isn’t a major issue as I’m happy to change themes in order to utilise Visual Composer.
I reviewed your website for Visual Composer – It appears that you have functionality available, but for what themes?
Hello,
These posts are old posts. Actually WPBakery was renamed some time ago, it was Visual Composer and even link on ThemeForest includes this title if you check https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431
Plugin developers renamed old Visual Composer to WPBakery and after that released a completely new plugin with different system and options using the Visual Composer title for this new product.

Hi Olga,
Unfortunately while named similar they are different products. The Visual Composer license is only offered OUTSIDE Envato, as such they are not permitted to us “WP Bakery” unless INSIDE Envato (such as your themes).
Long story short, Visual composer is faster, more SEO adapted etc.

Hello,
Yes, we know that. But Legenda comes bundled with WPBakery (old name Visual Composer) and we can’t change builder because of number of clients that already use it. If you want to use the newest Visual Composer you may try it, some our customers use Elementor page builder instead of WPBakery. Don’t think that theme will conflicts, but you will need to recreate pages content from scratch because content created using WPBakery can’t be edited using another page builder.
