    Hi,

I updated the Theme successfully and then tried to update the plugin to the latest version using WordPress plugin updater. Unfortunately it took forever and eventually timed out.

I downloaded the latest versiion of the core plugin and used that to upgrade the plugin and it worked ok.

I have the following error message, ‘We are unable to connect to the XStore API with the XStore theme. Please check your SSL certificate or white lists.’ I’m assuming this was why the plugin didn’t update correctly but not sure how the Theme worked ok, unless it is intermittent.

Can you shed any light on how to fix this please?

    Thanks
    Ian

    Hello @ianbarker24,

We are glad to hear that you have been able to update the plugins on your site. Your assessment is correct, as the issue was likely caused by an API error.

The cause of the error could be the use of third-party plugins that are based on Kirki.

We recommend that you contact your hosting provider to inquire if they are blocking outgoing/ingoing connections to our server 136.243.62.54.

Additionally, it would be beneficial to ask if there is a white/black list or IP restriction on your server. This could be the cause of the notifications issue.

We hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,

    Thank you for your response.

I’m pretty sure we have already checked that my hosting is not blocking outgoing/incoming connection to your server’s ip address. The issue has only shown itself since a move of hosting provider.

Your comment about plugins based on Kirki is interesting. The only plugin I’ve added since moving to this hosting provider is WPCode Lite I guess I could disable that plugin. At the moment the server requirements page isn’t showing an issue with API server connection, so it is intermittent in nature.

Anyway I think I can manage around the issue.

    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hello @ianbarker24,

You’re welcome! We understand that you have already checked your hosting settings regarding outgoing/incoming connections to the server’s IP address, and the issue only surfaced after moving to a new hosting provider.

Disabling the WPCode Lite plugin might be worth a try.

We are glad to hear that you feel you can manage around it for now.

If you have any further questions or need any more assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help!

    Best Regards,
